Breaking the Insulin Resistance Cycle: Understanding and Managing this Metabolic Disorder – Part 1

Insulin Resistance Part 1

We keep worrying about elevated blood sugar levles . But the Real Truth is that you need to worry about you elevated insulin levels Let’s understand what happens once we consume food ( carbohydrates ) .

Food 🍱 👉 Glucose 👉 release of insulin from Pancreas… to give insulin signaling to our body cells to absorb glucose 👉 once the necessary glucose is absorbed 👉 extra glucose is converted into Glycogen 👉 it’s stored in liver & muscle 👉 it’s like an immediate supply of energy … just in case if your body needs it 👉 Glycogen stores can last 24-48 Hrs 👉 once they are full … insulin converts extra glucose into fat …

99% of people are still misguided and worry about Glucose levels … the fact is you can be still be diabetic ( insulin resistant) without you being aware of it . The Real game is 👉 Insulin signalling … we miss that part. Fasting insulin levels are more important than fasting glucose levels because they can indicate insulin resistance, which is a precursor to type 2 diabetes.

Refer to below diagram .. please observe the metabolic issues in outer blue circles . core in center .. thats the Red part is Hyper Insulinemia , the real root casue of all Metabolic issues we face . Please note ..80% of deaths across the world relates to metabolic issues only .

What they have done presently and measure food by 👉 Glycemic Index …

What they should have actually done 👉 Insulin Index …

Let me give example … Milk 🥛 … low in Glycemic Index but very high in Insulin Index

Let’s understand in mathematical form Diabetes = Insulin resistance . That’s the reason Milk is poison ☠️ for diabetes.

How do we test Insulin Levles ?

There are several types of insulin tests available, including fasting insulin, postprandial insulin, and insulin tolerance tests. Fasting insulin tests measure insulin levels after a period of fasting, typically 8-12 hours. Postprandial insulin tests measure insulin levels after a meal, usually 2 hours after eating. Insulin tolerance tests measure how well the body responds to insulin by measuring blood sugar levels before and after the administration of insulin.

Insulin testing is usually done in combination with other tests, such as a glucose tolerance test or a hemoglobin A1c test (HbA1c) to provide a comprehensive evaluation of insulin resistance and overall metabolic health.

We would like to conclude by an simple Truth that you should be aware of !

METABOLIC HEALTH = YOUR GOOD HEALTH.

Now if you have been trapped into vicious cycle on Insulin Resistance .. how do you come out of it .. I will cover in my Next Blog .. Till then . HAPPY INSULIN CONTROL 😃
